My former university got the opportunity to pitch for a architectural treasure in the midst of one of Frankfurt's most beloved downtown areas. Brief was to take the original building out of its state of despair and modernize it, without interfering with the surrounding buildings' classic styles.
I was tasked to build upon a great foundation, staying in the bounds set by the city of Frankfurt and bring the "Paradieshof" to live again.
In the end, our concept prevailed, won over dozens of competing agencies and claimed the final blessing of Frankfurt's major.
The best part for me personally - besides having Ralph as my "client" - was the fact, that I did all the remodeling and a proper architecture firm took my designs and 3D-mockups (shown here) to validate its feasibility.
